NovoTHOR Red Light Therapy Bed

What is NovoTHOR® Red Light Therapy?

The NovoTHOR® red light therapy bed uses near-infrared light to accelerate the body’s natural healing processes.  Similar to how specific wavelengths (at the opposite end of the light spectrum) can be used to treat psoriasis or vitiligo, red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, uses a combination of red and near-infrared light to activate a number of biological processes.

Red light therapy has been studied in over 500 human trials and 4,000 lab studies.  NovoTHOR® is designed and manufactured to comply with international Medical Device and GMP standards.  NovoTHOR® is a Class II Medical Device and is listed with the FDA.

As of February of 2022, The Guyer Institute is the only location in Indiana to offer NovoTHOR® red light therapy!

What are the benefits of NovoTHOR® Therapy?

  • Improved muscle performance
  • Restoration of motion to joints
  • Redevelop muscles
  • Relaxation of muscles and relief from muscle spasms
  • Temporary relief of muscle/ joint aches, pain and stiffness
  • Temporary relief of minor pain and stiffness associated with arthritis
  • To temporarily increase blood circulation
  • Adjunct to obesity as part of a diet and exercise program

How is NovoTHOR® Therapy performed?

Patients will enter the private NovoTHOR® room.  They will undress, press the button to turn the bed on, lay down in the bed, and gently lower the lid.  The bed will light up with a bright red light.  Patients may either keep their eyes open or closed during the session.  The red light is completely safe for the eyes.  Patients can expect to feel slight warmth from the light and may feel relaxed or energized at the end of the session.  The session lasts for 12 minutes and patients may listen to music, meditate, or take a quick nap!
