We are all about well-being, true health, and health awareness. Awareness comes from information, and the patient has to be involved, of course.
The good news from The Guyer Institute: we can help! We have arrangements with two lab testing companies to get your labs drawn with us and sent to them – so we can find out what you need to know about your health.
If you’ve come to see us before, you know we have phlebotomists on staff and. After a consultation, we can get a sample from you and order up a full range of testing.
Routine and periodic testing can include lipids (heart-related: fat, cholesterol, triglycerides, vitamins, etc.), liver and kidney function. It can include electrolytes, thyroid, and other blood proteins involved in metabolism.
Having labs done in our office is often more convenient and cost effective for patients. We have three phlebotomists on staff now, so appointment scheduling and potential wait time is very favorable compared to a crowded physician’s practice.
“So many of our patients are here regularly for a variety of treatments and products,” Dr. Guyer says, “so it just makes sense to get your labs drawn at intervals with us.”
Over his many years as a top health practitioner, Dr Guyer often recommends patients also get testing for some or most of the following: neurotransmitter balance; cellular energy production; a broader array of hormone balance and interaction; and gastrointestinal function.
And, if necessary, lab testing for toxin accumulation, including heavy metals.
“These tests and other avenues,” Dr, Guyer says, “can help better define overall physiologic efficiency.”
An imbalance in results can point to underlying issues that affect energy, mental agility, balance, sleep, and stress.
The Guyer Institute has relationships with two lab testing companies to meet many of our patients’ testing needs.
The labs we draw for you, with orders for the types of testing, are sent to Mid America Clinical Labs. Its services can often be billed to your insurance provider. Please check with your insurance provider beforehand.
There’s more good news on the lab testing front: for underinsured or uninsured patients, we offer testing through Access Labs, where the patient pays a reduced cost for the labs.
Savings vary, but patients can expect to pay about 20-25% of the cost, a considerable discount.
At The Guyer Institute, we offer so much as part of our integrated approach to your physical and mental well-being – and your appearance. Convenient, reliable lab testing is just another way to strengthen our services.
