Root Cause.
A root-cause focus looks at the underlying issues that lead to imbalances in our health. Medications are often prescribed to block symptoms of some kind. For example, pain medications, while essential, can block nerve signals of pain, but do little to actually support the body’s healing process. Another example would be allergies. While antihistamines can help mitigate the frustrating symptoms of allergies, the actual causes may be related to the ecology of the digestive tract, low Vitamin D levels, or even low thyroid levels. Correcting these underlying deficiencies can create dramatic improvements in the overall health of the individual. Synergistically combining these strategies can effectively facilitate one’s quest for optimal health.
Wellness Plan.
There is a wise saying in medicine, “if you listen long enough to a patient they will tell you exactly what you need to know”. Unfortunately, the art of listening can be reduced substantially in most ‘HMO’ style, 2-5 minute office visits. A significant part of creating a Wellness Plan is actually taking the extended time to listen well to the patient’s concerns. These subtle clues can yield great insights into the development of effective wellness strategies. Additionally, the availability of more complex testing, which can define extraordinary detail at the biochemical level, completes the picture of essential data to understand and treat the biochemical individuality of each patient. Combining active listening, enhanced knowledge of biochemical detail, and observation of the clinical course create an effective strategy to facilitate better wellness.
For women to live a happier, more vibrant life.
There exists a two way street between biochemistry and optimal life experience. The importance of a good diet, exercise and a positive attitude are obvious. However, it is very difficult to have the capacity to include these essential components if, for instance, your nutritional chemistry is significantly depleted, your hormone balance is diminished, or your detoxification efficiency is altered. A good example of this would be if your thyroid was low. If left uncorrected, this individual would be invariably frustrated since they would not actually have the energy level to exercise let alone to derive the usual benefits from their commitment. While this is but one example it is important to embrace the synergy of a well balanced cellular chemistry in order to facilitate better wellness.
